Just to show that I did remember how to do lights. I know these pics came out blurry, but I'm going to try to get some better shots of the whole show during Sunday's matinee, and I'll post some then.
And this shot was taken just a short walk out the back door of the theatre. I really love my new job. :-)

That last shot is postcard worthy!
Would love to see that on my way home!
All lovely. So, excuse my ignorance- but what does a tech director do? Are you the king of stagehands, carpenters and props people? Do you do all of the stuff that is not acting?
Stinkypaw: Thanks. :-)
Monkey: That is a very good way to put it. It is my responsibility to make sure that the sets, lights, sound, special effects, and props are all constructed, assembled, recorded, focused, and painted properly. Then it is my duty to hire and train the run crew. They are the people who will operate the light board, sound board, props, and scene changes. And once the show is open I am on hand during each performance just in case something goes wrong or breaks. And in between shows I do maintanance on equipment in the shop and theatre.
You do some good work there, kiddo!
