Brave New World



Yesterday George Takei married his lover of 21 years, Brad Altman at the Japanese American National Museum in Los Angeles. Walter Koenig was the best man, and Nichelle Nichols was the best lady, and the ceremony was performed by a Buddhist priest. I know that I am not alone in the Star Trek fan community when I say that I wish the happy couple great success in this wonderful time where two people who love each other have the right to proclaim that love publicly, and legally, and for all the world to see. Now if we can only get the rest of the country to move out of the 14th century.

They look deliriously happy, which makes me happy. And it cracks me up that Nichelle Nichols can't do the "live long and prosper" hand thing.

Mr. Takei looks good still as well as Mr. Koenig. Sad to see how Mrs Nichols aged... I guess living in the "Village" (gay neighbourhood), I forgot it's not like this everywhere...

Interesting picture, but I wonder what Bester of "Psi Corps" is doing on the far right there? He probably has the other three mind-blanked so they do not even know he is there.
