On Friday I left work early, gathered up the family, and drove to West Palm Beach. It was a somewhat impromptu/stealth visit with a purpose. As I mentioned previously Celebhith gave me her old laptop when she bought a new one. Aside from using it to watch DVD's, her main use for the device is to play the Sims video game. The saga of trying to get her old saved files from the original machine to the new one is the stuff of morality plays and horror movies as one unsuccessful attempt after another was made. Finally I decided that I could not troubleshoot the problem from up here, and made plans to go to WPB. As it coincided with the CoA's birthday, Mrs. Marius arranged to get a rare, and much needed, weekend off, and we made a family outing of it. To those of you in the balmy southern part of the state, I hope you'll forgive me for not announcing my presence, but time was limited and I needed to devote my few hours to wrestling with bits and bytes, and to visiting with the Rents and In-Laws. Oh, and just in case you were curious, the trip was a complete success! Celebhith now has all of her simulated families back and the world is right again. :-)
After we got home last night, Mrs. Marius put her overnight bag on top of a box of papers she had retrieved from her ancestral home. Immediately the Kitties-O-The-Apocalypse showed us why it was foolish of us to buy them the many and various house-like toys they have eschewed over the years. Behold:
And one last little brag, here is a shot of the fruits of our labor in the shop.
Of course, with the huge show we have to build it won't stay like this long, but it is nice to bask in the cleanliness while it lasts. :-)
Peace out, y'all.
Marius

Cleanliness is always good, even for a short moment!
. . . and celebhith is profoundly and forever grateful!
