For My Techie Peeps

I've always said the Shure SM58 microphone is the toughest little mic around, and this video proves me to not be indulging in hyperbole.(with thanks to Weathereye for posting this on his blog)

Heck, Who fans have known about Shure's ability to withstand ANYTHING for *decades* :)

So has anyone actually checked out their data? I mean we didn't actually get to listen to the microphone after each of the tests.

No, I haven't gone to the website, didn't have time, but I've seen 58s take a beating and keep on going.

Roger Daltrey's mikes are Shures and they get *abused* and *Abused*...Yet they actually last for a few shows in a row, which for him is no small feat.

I shuold have added, before they get refurbished- he swings them around and around, they end up smashed into drumkits, the mike stand, scraped along the floor, slammed into his hands, one time the thing pegged Pete Townshend in the shoulder. Never affects the sound.
